A Helping Hand…

-JAYANT MUNDHRA

Every person is unique in their own and have their own talents and specifics. No, one can tell if a person is a genius or a douche bag….  As in one field or the other even you are going to act dumb or even dumber than others.. No one is superior to others in respects of skills, talents, cast, creed or richness.

One must not consider oneself superior to others in any case. Suppose I’m good in Programming and Web Designing. And, my friend is good in Basketball. That just concludes that I’m good in a task and my friend is not, but my friend is good in some other task and I’m not good in that prospect. But, one must not conclude that, I am superior to my friend or vice-versa..

There is a very thin line between the meanings of two phrases, Being better & Being superior. Being BETTER doesn’t showcase any ego. However, Being SUPERIOR showcases tons of ego. That’s where the difference arises. Irrespective of your superior skills or social standards, always help out others .

Now, Just imagine….

You are a celebrated badminton player. And, someone has just begun their training in badminton. Now, you are supposed to have a trial session with the person. During the match, he doesn’t performs  anywhere close to your caliber. Now two cases arise.

1       Either you are arrogant and have got it in your head that “you are SUPERIOR to others”. In this case you would tell the person, “Beta, Tumse na ho paayega…”.

Pretty rude..huh ??

2       Else, you are an encouraging and motivating person. In this case you motivate the person something like, “Don’t worry my friend.. it takes time. Keep practicing and then you will be a great badminton player one day”.

That is the difference.

You can help people in various ways  like,
  • Helping the elderly or the handicapped in crossing the roads.
  • Offering water to the riksha-wala when he drops you home.
  • If you are good in a particular field, and someone is facing problems relating to that, then help them out and motivate them to try harder.
  • Many people in our nation sleep on the streets. If you have any such people in your vicinity, then you can help that person with your leftover fod or the old clothes etc.

Always help the people around you, in their weak nodes. This way you are not just helping others, you are also enhancing your skills in that particular field and in the social perspective as well. Moreover, you also get their blessings and get an opportunity to create new connections and enlarge your social circle.

Help the needy without considering yourself SUPERIOR to others.
