Women Security : Are MEN acting towards it ?

-JAYANT MUNDHRA

When was the last day when you opened up the newspaper and there was no news of rapes in the nation? Forget the whole nation. Let’s talk about your state itself. Still, the statistics won’t change. Our society has become so unsafe for the female citizens that no day passes when no daughters are raped in our nation where a DURGA is worshipped as an idol, but countless are simultaneously raped each day. Is this the hypocrisy  with which we are going to achieve the golden target of “ACCHE DIN” ?

I was reading a post on FaceBook page of “Uth Time”, and it was really shocking and horrifying. A Mumbai girl was raped by her  two of her best friends after the birthday party. Who knew that her 21st birthday would give her the scars which won’t  fade off.

Then there was this news in Delhi edition of “The Times Of India”, that another juvenile who is about to turn 18 has raped a 10 year old. It is totally unimaginable, that a girl who may be doesn’t  even knows what intercourse means had to go through such a trauma and enormous pain.

What I don’t understand is that when a person has got atleast one lady in his own life (mother / sister / daughter / wife) , even then how can someone stoop so low?  What is the pleasure that these perverts gain from the pain, screams and cries of some lady/girl ?

I recently went to a Vegetable Market of my city with my close relative(a female). What I observed was that people were  intentionally trying to touch her while passing by. So, this really shook me up. I decided that when the next person tries to do so, I will move forward and come in between her and the pervert. That way he won’t be able to touch her. And, he will also be aware that there is someone with the lady, so it is better to stay away.

How can people be so desperate and cheap that they don’t give a damn about other person’s feeling and sentiments, rather stoop to the lowest order just to live their cheap fantasy?

Also a news that made me wonder was, of a woman being beaten up on the streets and people were not stopping it, rather they were busy filming it. Really!! A woman is being beaten up on the streets, her hair are being notched and she is being slapped again and again, her clothes have toned and the first thing that came to your mind was “Oh my God!! Let’s film it. I would then upload it on YouTube and share how people don’t respect the females in our nation.”

Rapes, eve-teasing, molestation, commenting upon a female, gazing and stalking the females and many other such “lowest of the low order deeds” are eating up the Indian Society. How do we expect PM Modi to bring us to the “ACCHE DIN paradigm”, when almost half of the population is not safe at all, be it a 2-year-old baby or a 90-year-old lady. So, next time you see anything such happening around with any female, stand up against it.

Raise a voice and make some noise. After all, your one noise or an action might save someone’s life from being scarred by the mark of any of the above mentioned cheap deeds.

When you HATE someone, you DIG TWO GRAVES.

-JAYANT MUNDHRA

I have had various brawls till this date. Some with friends, some with strangers. Some on serious issues, some on petty ones. Did I make enemies? Yes. Many of those are such people, that I haven’t talked to them ever since then.

Vishal Maan, for instance, was my classmate from 5th to 10th Grade at Bal Bharti School, Bahadurgarh. He knew “tits and bits of Taekwondo”. So, he was the stud of the class. We used to be friends earlier. But, when you begin to gain power, some get jealous and try to bring you down. Although, here Power signifies becoming the Monitor of the class and jealousy points towards his wish to be the Class Monitor ( In 7th Standard, It was a pretty big deal ) .So, we got into fight. And owing to his physical attributes as he knew “tits and bits of taekwondo skills”, he took the fight to the physical level. Since then, we fought numerous times on various issues. We created a hate cloud for each other. And, both of us have not talked to each other ever since.

I still laugh at the petty issue of “Becoming the Monitor of the class” led to this rivalry between two people. However, I still wonder that all those fights and rivalries gave me nothing but pain, bruises, injuries and more and more anger. All, that this hatred against “Vishal Maan” gave me was more and more anger, agitation and aggression. Not just Vishal, but many more of such rivalries.

Being an IT student, I would state :

HATE is a virus that keeps corrupting your  all the good and treasured VALUE  FILES in your HARD DISK, until either the whole system is either damaged or the virus is removed from the system. The ANTI-VIRUS for tackling this HATE virus is pre-installed in the system memory , but its operating files are scattered and tangled at various nodes and folders which can be unveiled and brought together into one program only with small positive thoughts and good_will.exe  files.

Just take a simple example,

Take a potato, and write HATE over it. Now, carry it with you in your pocket for a weak. Not, just the potato will rot, also the pocket of your pant will stink. That is the exact thing that happens when you develop hatred for someone in your heart. The hatred is going to pollute you from within. The quality of your thoughts will degrade. You will develop anger and agitation. Whenever you will see him/her, your brain will be triggered with ill-thoughts and anger. Your efficiency will be decreased as you will be spending your valuable time by thinking about all those people.

So, why hate anyone.

Rather, just conclude at the point that, your thoughts don’t match with the other person. There are differences between two people. That’s no big deal. But, if there is hatred among two people. That’s a big deal.

James Bond : For your eyes only, had Roger Moore (Then, James Bond 007) saying, “When you are onto take a revenge, always dig  two graves” as not just the person at the other end is going to lose something, but you as well are going to lose. While, neither one is actually going to gain anything.

Yes, I have had differences with people  in the past and in recent past as well. I pledge, that I do not HATE any one of them anymore. I pledge that next time I see anyone of them,  I will definitely say a “Hi” to that person. Will you?

NOTE :  This article was inspired from the “Speaking Tree” column of “The Times of India”.

A FRIEND OR A FOE...

-NISHTHA GAUTAM

What happens when your very “dear” friends become your very “enemies”? When you were small you thought monsters lived under your bed, and you were too scared to get up in the night else those monsters will kill and eat you. What happens when your very friends turn out to be your monsters from under the bed? Friendship is a bond based on trust, honesty and sacrifice. Like other relationships, it is void of any malice and stands strong in your hardships and merry times. Then why does it turn into bloodshed?

On the chilly evening of 12 December, Sumit (17) told his parents that he was going to his friend’s home for borrowing his notebook. Who would have thought that his dead body would be found on the railway tracks next morning? The head was severed by a sharp object and it was bleeding profusely when the body was found, thus indicating that the boy was hit in his head and then left for dead on the railway tracks. The police claimed that Sumit was hit by the train, but his kin claimed that he was murdered by his “friends”, and that there was a girl involved in the murder. They were all juvenile, still in their middle teens, and they dared to commit this deed to their own friend. Sumit’s brother said that the girl who was present when this horrendous act was committed stands responsible for his brother’s death. Infatuation is common among teens at this age, but when that infatuation becomes an obsession, it turns out to be quite fatal, as it did for Sumit.

Had the boy ever thought that his own friends would turn out to be his demons? They were all about to enter adulthood, this is the age when maturity comes on its own. And they decided to kill their own friend.  No one gave them the right to take someone’s life. Even the police department tried to subdue the fact that the boy was murdered, covering up for the criminals and making people see it as an accident. That’s how the police department shows it’s incapability to solve such crimes and rather conceal them to avoid public wrath. But this doesn’t solve the case, does it?

Juvenile delinquency has become a serious and common issue today. But since this was the first case that I witnessed myself, I had to write something for the youth and the coming generations. Your parents never raise you to be a criminal, they have expectations, which you have to fulfil no matter what. Your friends, they trust you with their secrets, knowing that you would not spill them out to anyone. To be a good friend is your responsibility, just like being a good son or a daughter is. Then why do these juveniles commit these shameful deeds. Is it because they act even before thinking? Well, we all have to think over that. After all, it’s us that can change this world and free ourselves from these demons.

Are you going to "MAKE IT LARGE" ?

-JAYANT  MUNDHRA

**I am writing today taking inspiration from stories of many of my friends at my Engineering College, IIIT-Gwalior.

Many of my friends were not really into Engineering, but due to rigid Education System of ours, they took up Engineering. As, professions like dancer, poet/poetess, motivator, public speaker, stand-up artist or an actor or a singer etc. are promoted or encouraged neither by our Education System, nor  by most of the parents and families citing the fact that the success rate in such professions is quite low.

But, does that mean, you should give up on it?

Yes you are a good flute player.  And, you joined an engineering/medical college or some other specialization institute. That doesn’t imply that your career as a flute artist is over or bleak. It just means that you will have to find a way to carry on with both the prospects.

After all, if you keep on with your artistry, you will gradually improve. Then try reach out to the audience that will be your critic. How? Make your videos and share them via platforms like YouTube and Reverbnation.com etc. That way people, musicians and music directors and composers from all round the globe will get the opportunity to listen to your melodies. And, who knows if some major music director signs you up in his orchestra or band. And, finally your dream of being successful flute artist comes alive.

I know that most of you will say that this is totally UNREALISTIC  and IMPRACTICAL.

But, that is the reason why most of the people lose out on their passions and dreams, and end up becoming something that they never dreamt and desired to be. And, only a select few who carry on with their passion despite all odds, actually Make It Large.

Shankar Mahadevan, such a marvelous and highly acclaimed singer. Musicians and Singers all-round the globe bow to his expertise in Classical Music. Did you know that he is also a Computer Science Engineer. He wished to pursue career in Music Industry, so he kept rehearsing his music even in his college and anyone can say that he has Made It Large in his life.

Another example can be the famous  author, Chetan Bhagat. His passion was to Write. He did engineering from IIT-Delhi. He did MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad. He took up a job in Hong-Kong at a Banking firm and worked there for almost 6 years. But, he kept on writing. He didn’t stop. And, it finally paid off and he Made It Large in his life.

A friend of mine is an awesome poet/poetess (Top Secret :D)  whose writings can make anyone bow down. There are two options in his/her hands, either he/she can keep writing in a diary, pass out with an engineering degree and carryon with an engineering profession. Or, he/she can put out those poems for the people to read and share via a Blog, Website or a Facebook page. That way, people would get to read those beautiful creations. The good works will be appreciated by the people and hence drive in motivation and pride and increase his/her  thirst to write more. Moreover, who knows if some Publishing House comes across any of those poem and likes it. They may ask him/her to officially write a Book of Poetry. Could it be any better? But, the efforts will have to be made.

You will have to keep moving towards your passion and someday it will payoff.

There are your dreams waiting for you on the opposite front of the river,  but the effort will have to be made by you  to swim across the fast and thrashing river, fighting all odds to live those dreams. The thing that matters is “Are you ready to Make It Large or not?”.

"I" in INDIA = IRONY ?

-JAYANT MUNDHRA

I was recently surfing through websites like ScoopWhoop.com, Quora.com, and TheLogicalIndian.com etc. And, I came across various ironies that exist in our land of endless cultures, traditions and myths and legends. Lets check out some...

1. “If you want to know How divided we are, just go and look at the Matrimonial Page of any newspaper”.

This one was a thought provoking one.  It actually made me think about how we ourselves segregate  the society and confine ourselves to certain traditions and cultures. Is it necessary to have separate columns for the brides/grooms of Sindhi / Muslim / Hindu / Sikh / Christian or some other community?

2. “India is an incredible country where, Actors are playing cricket, Cricketers are playing politics, Politicians are watching porn, and, Porn-stars are becoming actresses”.

CAUTION : If you are a Sachin Tendulkar fan, then please don’t get offended as I have  got no wrong intentions.

Although, I must say that what is the need to get into politics and become a Rajya Sabha member when you are not going to attend any sessions at the meetings of the UPPER HOUSE of the INDIAN CONSTITUTION ?

Also, I would like to bring out another irony. “Long back a female was raped. Our so called respectable society VICTIMIZED her, and she had to face utter defamation. So, she moved to Canada and joined Adult-Filmographic industry. And, all of a sudden she bags a role in a Bollywood movie. She becomes a Bollywood actress and the people of same society now are among her countless fan-following. Isn’t it one of the best examples of irony in Indian society?
Anyways, moving onto the next one…

3. “Ours is a country where every Muslim has to keep  proving  that he is patriotic and every Hindu has to keep  proving that he  is secular”.

This one makes me  feel pretty low about being a part of the society in which your religion presides over your intentions and beliefs. Why does a Muslim or a Hindu have to their patriotic or secular beliefs ?

4. “If someone uses English Slangs, it’s cool. But, if the same person uses Hindi Slangs, it’s cheap and unsophisticated”.

This one truly baffles me. If you are abusing someone, it’s cheap and unsophisticated anyway. So, why this branding, based on the linguistics of the words uttered? Does it really make a difference?

The problem is not just about the slangs. Today, people prefer english over hindi in almost every aspect. Is it really needed in our society ? Why can't use of both languages be promoted and not just one of them ? Ask yourselves.

5. “A black cat crossing the road can halt the traffic much more efficiently as compared to red traffic lights”.

Again, a hilarious one.  They say that if a black cat is crossing the road, it’s inauspicious.
But, What if you jump a red light and a car comes and hits you from your  right or vice-versa? Won’t that be inauspicious? If not for sake of your life, at least follow the traffic rules for the sake of your  family. Because  for  them, you  to be hit by a car is definitely going to be inauspicious.

6. “India is a country that produces as many engineers (in 5 years of time) as is the entire population of Switzerland.  Yet, on the Global Innovation Index, India stands at 76th position while Switzerland holds 1st position ”.

Hilarious, but Thought-Provoking. An engineer’s job is to create such sustainable technology  that can take the world to an upper edge towards knowing the actual potential of the Human Mind and reduce the difficulties faced by the people in today’s  world.

This clearly brings us to the point, “Are we creating the mechanics who will replicate the things created by others OR are we creating engineers who will create and innovate things that will be copied and implemented by others ?”.

There is a lot to think about, learn and then implement in the real world. Do share your views with me and other readers in the comments section below. And, do share any other irony, that you believe exists in this society. ( And, these are just my views on some issues. I don't intent to offend anyone. )

Racial Discrimination Against North-East Indians

-JAYANT MUNDHRA

A few days back Bengaluru witnessed an alarming case of racial discrimination targeting the North-Eastern  Indians. The daughter of a former Top-Cop, Bengaluru’s Ex-Police Commissioner H.T. Sangaliana’s  daughter , Rachel Sangaliana.

She was allegedly assaulted and racially abused by two women at a Super-Market. Her hair were grabbed and pulled out of clamps, she was abused and was told to go back to China, where she belongs.

Similarly, various such cases of Racial Discrimination against our North-Eastern brothers and sisters have been reported by the media. Also, many of us might have witnessed or been a part of such activities.

As, I attained my Senior Secondary education in New Delhi, I witnessed various occasions when derogatory words like CHINKI , TRIBALS , REFUGEE , CHINESE , CHOWMEIN , CHOPSTICKS and NEPALI etc. were used to refer to Northeastern people. Is it really necessary to brand the natives of a particular territory in such an ill-manner ?

The question that arises is “Why are so many of us not ready to accept the 7-sister states as a part of us? Why does physical attributes matter so much to many of us that we end up telling them to move back to their home nation, while they  are just as equal Indians as we are” .

About a few months back, a north-eastern guy was beaten to death in New Delhi. At that time, above questions came to my mind. And, thus I posted my question on Quora.com, which led me to some amazing answers.

I realized that the PROBLEM is with our EDUCATION SYSTEM!!

We people (other than the North-Eastern People) don’t know a thing about their cultures, rituals, diversity, traditions, languages, mythology and history. This is because we never get to read about any of that stuff. Hence, we end up on a totally different edge as they are totally new cult of people to us. As a result, we don’t mingle up with them quite easily.

In the schools,

We are taught about the Mighty Empires of South : Cholas, Pallava, Vijayanagar Empires etc. We are  introduced to the legend and the history of Bengal : Rabindra Nath Tagore, Subhash Chandra Bose, Swami Vivekanand. We learnt about the great Maratha Warrior SIVAJI who bravely fought the Mighty Mughals with his guerilla warfare techniques. We were taught about how Pakistan and Bangladesh separated from India. We learnt about the ancient Harappa & Mohenjo-Daro. For a whole year, we are simply taught about the British Rule and the Mughal Empires.

Now, WAIT for a moment. In all the history, we are taught we hardly read anything about the Northeast. Were we taught about How did the Indus Valley prosper? NO. Were we taught about the various Kingdoms that ruled over  these lands? NO. Do we know about any of their heros and legends? NO. Have we got any idea about their rituals, traditions, cultures, languages or their mythology?

NO WE DON’T.

Even the Media does the same thing. You would never rarely see news from Northeast Politics or the Separatist Movement or the Insurgency Issues. They would show us the news from North, South, West and Central India. But, when it comes to the East, you only get the news from Bengal and sometimes Assam. So, how would the people come to know about these leftover territories?

And, that’s why many of us end up feeling  that these people don’t belong with us as we don’t know a shit about these people. These differences clubbed with the appearance(Small eyes, White faces, Descriptive facial features, Genarally, short height), make them a totally different cult of people.

They are one of us. They are humans. They do hear when you call them CHINKI. They do feel the PAIN of being Isolated and Objectified. Wearing a Being Human T-Shirt is not going to make a difference to this society and the nation unless you become a human from within.

LIFE without a PARENT

-JAYANT  MUNDHRA

A mother always makes sure that her child must not be in any sort of pain or agony. She would sleep with an empty stomach, but always make sure that her child is fed in time. She wakes up earliest in the family to prepare her kid for School. And, she sleeps last to make sure that her child is well asleep. Just a smile on the kid’s face makes the mother’s happiness reach to the 22nd moon of Jupiter..

Similarly, a father would work hard all day to ensure a bright future for his child and dream all night about that bright future. His whole world lightens up when his child achieves something. After returning home, when he hugs his kids and listens to their daily updates, his whole tiredness and restlessness vanishes off.

Together, a mother and a father together make up the child’s world complete by providing for him not just financially but also by giving him all the love and care that every child needs, attention that every child desires, guidance that every kid needs at every step of life, emotional support needed at various ups and downs of life.

A mother provides for nutrition and the values that shape up a respectable citizen of the society. And, a father who makes sure that if his child needs something.. Well, he better gets it. He would work all day and all night, break his ass but will always fulfil all the wishes  and need of his kid.

Now, Imagine a life without any one of the parent.  Won’t it be horrific. How do you expect for the child to move on in his life? How do you expect for him/her to survive in this ever changing
and dynamic world which follows the principle of “Survival Of the Fittest”?

The loss of a parent creates a vacuum in a child’s life that is going to keep  haunting  him/her over and over again throughout his/her life reminding him/her that is going to keep on reminding the person that “You had something very special and amazing. And now you don’t.  And,  You are never going to get it back”.

Since, I’m an IT guy so, in a computer engineer’s terms..  It’s an infinite loop which is going to keep repeating  itself over and over again each time incrementing the value of variable
Intensity_of_Pain”.

So, just a humble request to every reader,

" Life without a Parent is the worst troll that life can take on anyone. So, whenever you see anyone who doesn’t have a parent or both, always try to bond with them, make them feel special, make them feel like family, treat them as your own brother/sister. This might not mean a lot to you, but for that kid, it might act as the ray of bright sunshine that would light up the dark vacuum in his life. "

Their BODY. Their CLOTHES. Their CHOICE.

-JAYANT MUNDHRA

I like to wear Jackets, Hoods, Denim.  I basically like to dress up as per my wish. If anyone tries to stop me from doing any of that, it would be invading my personal life.

Same stands for the women and the female counterparts of the society. They are MOTHERs who give birth and raise us, SISTERs who care and love us, FRIENDs who share everything, WIVEs who love and stand by your ups an lows. They run the world and contribute to this world at par with men, or maybe they do more for this world than the men. They are the other half of this world, the half that is bound to certain restrictions and boundations on each and every platform in the course of life.

Why does this PATRIARCHAL SOCIETY of ours always have to barge into their lives and tell them that you are wearing something inappropriate? Infact, who gives us the right to do so? Who are we to decide what the other person is allowed to wear and what they  are not supposed to?

Its their life, their body, and hence they should be given the full authority to dress as per their wish or comfort. And if someone thinks that females should not wear short or tight clothes because that is the reason for various SEX-CRIMES, then I would like to bring to light the fact that “In our nation, even 90 year old elderly ladies have been raped recently. And , girls of less than 5 year age have been molested and sexually abused.”. So, were they raped because they were wearing  something tight or short or skimpy?

No.

They had to face the dark and evil side of the Male Cult, because those parasites just had in mind that they had to do it. Those perverts didn’t care what the woman was wearing at all. They just had to do it.

Sex-Crimes has got no relation to the size of clothes of a female. The video (below) takes a funny take on " Why rapes happen? ".

Recently, reacting to rising SEX-CRIMES, actress  Priyanka Chopra quoted, “ Even if I wear nothing and walk naked on the road, that doesnot imply that I am available to have sex or to be raped. Even that doesn’t give anyone the right to rape me ”.

So, stop objectifying  women. Stop putting  boundations over them as they have already got a lot to deal with. What they wear is their business and depends on their choice and comfort, just the way it is for us guys.

TERRORISM is proportional to CORRUPTION ??

-JAYANT MUNDHRA

Each and everyone of us have been a part of some “UNDER THE TABLE” act or have witnessed one. I got my Driving License made through a dalal when I didn’t even know how to drive.. Many would have bribed the Railway T.T.E. to get a berth when you didn’t have a ticket.. Many would have bribed the traffic police officer to avoid the challan.. Or the police officer to get the Passport check validated.

Every now or then, in or nation, one bypasses the law to get the job done by bribing someone. And yet, when we get to know about some Anti-Corruption Protest, or Campaign, we all unite over the social media to claim that we are against.

I ask, “Are we really against Corruption? Are we really FIGHTING against it?”

If we are really against it then why don’t we actually boycott these shortcut measures and go down the tough road.

1.  *     It wouldn’t be possible to get a D/L without proper driving test.
2.  *    You will always have to carry a confirmed ticket when travelling in the train.
3.  *     There will always be a challan when you don’t follow the traffic rules.
4.  *     Passport validation may take more than one stages.
5.  *     And much more.

But, you won’t have to bribe anyone again. Nation’s Tax collection will rise. You would really save a lot more than you will give. Infact, one of the biggest issues TERRORISM will be tackled in an upscale manner.
How? Well here is the answer.

How do you think “these terrorists infiltrate our country, reside among us, buy weapons and distribute them and carry on their dirty business” so easily? They easily get fake Pass-ports, Ration-cards, D/L, Voter ID etc. by paying pity bribes and easily get access to all the rights that we the citizens of INDIA are entitled to.

So, in a way, we are the ones who are promoting terrorism in our own nation in an indirect manner. Pakistan is home to these terrorists and helps them in training, but we are also indirectly helping them in bombing off our own nation.

So, if you boycott this culture of bribery, you will, indirectly be killing terrorism.

Moreover, may be this way we won’t be able to counter the Corporate-level corruption, but a lot of things happen at the clerical level, so, if that is cut off from India, even then a huge difference will be made.

I pledge that I won’t bribe anyone and won’t contribute to terrorism. Do you?

Sexual Assault on 3-Yr-old. Disgusting.

                                                                                          -JAYANT MUNDHRA

Our nation has been mining deeper and deeper in terms of morals and ethics as the news of another 3-year-old been sexually assaulted in Bengaluru has painted a dark stain of shame on the face our so called development.

Can you imagine what a 3-year-old, nursery standard is like? She’s a blossoming and blooming  flower, in her rising and colourful age. Wherever she goes, she lightens up the whole place and everyone only wants to play with her and be around her. For a 3-year-old girl, the world is all about happiness, fun and frolic, singing and dancing, and playing around. All she knows, is that everyone loves her and she loves all.

How can someone even think of giving a life lasting  scar to such a precious little kid, who demands nothing, but love. This is a question on humanity that’s been popping out over and over again after every few days, for a couple of years. Begining last year with the rape of a 2-year-old baby, these crimes on humanity have been rising exponentially  all across India.

I don’t understand, what pleasure do these devils nurture with the screams, cries and pain of these children who are absolutely unaware of the darkness and evils of the real world. That 3-year-old doesn’t even knows what wrong has been done to her. If watching the news on the T.V. could make me feel disgusting and shameful then how come  the doer of this crime did not feel the shame and the guilt when he committed this crime.

Do we really need such criminal bastards in our society. Why does the law have to waste its time and the taxpayer’s  money to bring them to justice i.e. anything less than death or castration. Why does law have to think of Human Rights when doing  justice to such people who themselves did a heinous crime agains humanity?

After the brutal 16 December-NIRBHAYA Case, several laws and amendments were updated or added to the constitution. But, till date no ground work has happened. Things have happened on paper but nothing substantial has happened in practical.

If these babies are not safe from such crimes, then I wonder, will our country be a safe zone for females in the society, anytime soon…?

A Helping Hand…

-JAYANT MUNDHRA

Every person is unique in their own and have their own talents and specifics. No, one can tell if a person is a genius or a douche bag….  As in one field or the other even you are going to act dumb or even dumber than others.. No one is superior to others in respects of skills, talents, cast, creed or richness.

One must not consider oneself superior to others in any case. Suppose I’m good in Programming and Web Designing. And, my friend is good in Basketball. That just concludes that I’m good in a task and my friend is not, but my friend is good in some other task and I’m not good in that prospect. But, one must not conclude that, I am superior to my friend or vice-versa..

There is a very thin line between the meanings of two phrases, Being better & Being superior. Being BETTER doesn’t showcase any ego. However, Being SUPERIOR showcases tons of ego. That’s where the difference arises. Irrespective of your superior skills or social standards, always help out others .

Now, Just imagine….

You are a celebrated badminton player. And, someone has just begun their training in badminton. Now, you are supposed to have a trial session with the person. During the match, he doesn’t performs  anywhere close to your caliber. Now two cases arise.

1       Either you are arrogant and have got it in your head that “you are SUPERIOR to others”. In this case you would tell the person, “Beta, Tumse na ho paayega…”.

Pretty rude..huh ??

2       Else, you are an encouraging and motivating person. In this case you motivate the person something like, “Don’t worry my friend.. it takes time. Keep practicing and then you will be a great badminton player one day”.

That is the difference.

You can help people in various ways  like,
  • Helping the elderly or the handicapped in crossing the roads.
  • Offering water to the riksha-wala when he drops you home.
  • If you are good in a particular field, and someone is facing problems relating to that, then help them out and motivate them to try harder.
  • Many people in our nation sleep on the streets. If you have any such people in your vicinity, then you can help that person with your leftover fod or the old clothes etc.

Always help the people around you, in their weak nodes. This way you are not just helping others, you are also enhancing your skills in that particular field and in the social perspective as well. Moreover, you also get their blessings and get an opportunity to create new connections and enlarge your social circle.

Help the needy without considering yourself SUPERIOR to others.

Parents : Gods Among US

-JAYANT MUNDHRA

When a child is born, he/she has already given his/her parents the greatest gift, the joy of being a parent. From the moment you are born, your parents only dream about your future, your well being and betterment.

So, if you have grown into a responsible adult who cares for his parents and his nation, then you have already gifted them enough by fulfilling their very basic dream of seeing you standing on your own in this world. All your parents want is to see that their parenting and nurturing over the years have created an asset for the world.

For instance,

My dad used to throw wrappers from the moving car. And, whenever he did so, I used to get very irritated and angry. And I used to lecture him on “Our responsibility towards the Nation”. My dad never retaliated citing, “How dare I try to teach him something? He is over double my age and yet I am lecturing him. Bansal Ji’s kids never do such things. They aren’t so blunt. They are always quiet in front of their parents.”

Rather, he would silently smile. He found happiness and peace in my lecturing. Reason being that his parenting has created a caring and responsible citizen for the nation.

Some of my friends have a grudge against their parents that their parent scold they a lot… Well, here is my view…

When your parents scold you, its because they care about you. They don’t want you to commit the mistakes that they created or they have seen the people create in their liv es. That’s why they might sometimes be harsh. But, this harshness doesn’t just makes you cry. Ask your parents, don’t they cry in their hearts when they have to scold you. But, its only because they don’t you to step onto wrong paths or deeds.

Yet, inspite of what parents do for their children, people today leave their parents, estrange them. Your parents are the greatest gift that you can even imagine.

Care for them.
Respect them.
Love them.
